I'm so alive. Time is runnings so fast and it's hard to believe, that Brittni has been here two weeks tomorrow. When we picked her up in Copenhagen, it was meeting an old friend instead of welcoming a new friend. We have all adjusted very well. Every day is a day with new experiences.
We like cooking and baking in my family. Brittni does that too and the other day she was cooking chicken pot pie for dinner. It's fun to talk about food in Denmark and USA. The only problem is, that we don't have time enough to cook and bake all we want. We have to include Christmas baking too.
Friday afternoon our kitchen turned into an international kitchen. Four relaxing students drinking tea, eating my home baked buns with chease while they were talking and laughing. I had to smile several times because it was hard to believe, that it was happening in our kitchen. A very good experience. Thanks girls, we hope to see you again. The cookies....?!
After having tea the girls baked chocolate chip cookies - my favourite cookies. They tested a new recipe, I got from a blog friend. You can find another recipe here. Some of the girls even stayed for dinner - my husbands vegetable soup.
Can you imagine, how fantastic it was to start a weekend like that...?! One girl in Spain with a friend and her family, another is staying two nights with friends and the last one is canoeing in Sweden - yes, my husband and I are having a good time too....
As you can see, there is not much time left for my creative soul, but that's okay. I must be better to take time for that too, but it's difficult when you don't want to miss anything these days. Well, I better get back to the sewing machine now. I'm home alone - my husband is joining a bike race.
I hope, you are doing fine. Enjoy your Sunday.
